Australian Terrier

The Australian Terrier is a small, sturdy breed of dog that originated in Australia.

Bred to hunt vermin and snakes, they are known for their courage and loyalty.

They have a double coat of medium-length fur, which is usually blue and tan in color.

Originally bred in the 19th century, the Australian Terrier was developed from a variety of breeds, including the Yorkshire Terrier, the Skye Terrier, and the Dandie Dinmont Terrier.

This hardy breed was used to hunt rodents, snakes, and other pests on farms and ranches.

The Australian Terrier is an intelligent and active breed, with a strong prey drive and a willingness to please.

They are loyal and devoted to their owners, and make excellent watchdogs.

They are also known for their boldness and courage, and are not afraid to stand up to larger dogs.

Today, the Australian Terrier is still a popular companion dog, as well as a working dog.

They are often seen competing in agility and obedience trials, and make great therapy dogs.

With their friendly and outgoing personalities, they are sure to bring joy to any home.
