Norwegian Elkhound

The Norwegian Elkhound is an ancient breed, believed to have been around for over 5,000 years.

This hardy and loyal breed was used by the Vikings to hunt elk, bear, and other large game. They were also used as watchdogs and guard dogs, protecting their owners from danger.

The Norwegian Elkhound is a medium-sized dog with a thick double coat that is gray in color. They have a wedge-shaped head, pointed ears, and a bushy tail.

These dogs are known for their intelligence, strength, and courage. They are loyal and devoted to their families, and make excellent watchdogs. They are also active and energetic, and need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

The Norwegian Elkhound is a versatile breed, capable of hunting, guarding, and competing in agility and obedience trials. They are also great family pets, and can be trained to be well-mannered and obedient.
