Basenji

The Basenji is an ancient breed of dog, originating in Central Africa.

Believed to be one of the oldest breeds, they were used by the Pygmy people for hunting small game.

These agile, alert dogs have a distinctive barkless yodel and are known for their intelligence and independence.

They have a short, smooth coat that comes in a variety of colors, including red, black, tricolor, and brindle.

Basenjis are active, energetic dogs who need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

They are loyal and affectionate with their family, but can be aloof and independent with strangers.

Basenjis are also known for their cleanliness and lack of doggy odor, making them a great choice for those who don't want a smelly house.

With their intelligence and athleticism, Basenjis make excellent agility competitors and are also great companions for active families.
