St Augustine’s Abbey

This is a great option for dog walks in Canterbury! Dogs are welcomed to the Abbey, they even provide fresh water out by the seating area. The staff get to know dogs by their names and welcome them on entry which is a lovely, personal touch.

The grounds are both historical and beautifully kept, so both you and your furry companion will enjoy your walk and trip. As a resident of Canterbury you can apply for a yearly free entry pass, or you can just pay on admission!

The Miller’s Arms Pub

Great delicious food and dog friendly pub, Miller’s Arms is a really lovely place to stop when out with your pups. They provide you with a water bowl and I brought along a doggy packed lunch of chicken, so we could both enjoy the stop.

The Dog and Duck

This pub was very dog friendly. We think this is the best pub yet as they have a doggy scrap tin and so your furry friend can also enjoy a meaty lunch break along with you. The staff are friendly to humans too. Well worth a visit!

Dover Castle

At Dover Castle, dogs on leads can venture behind the battlements for a walk through the grounds of the ancient fortress. Finish off your walk with a drink and water bowl for your partner in crime!
