Meet Aslan, the 17 year old refugee who has carried his puppy Rose over 300 miles on his journey to safety. Aslan felt he couldn’t leave little Rose behind, and even made her a passport on his journey!
Aslan said ‘‘I love my dog. I need her. I’ve been walking with the dog for 500km. They said you can’t take your dog. I have food and I have water, I have anything. I say “I love my dog”.
The UN’s refugee agency said it had seen many refugees who bring their animals with them on the long and often perilous journeys from the Middle East, across the Mediterranean and through Europe.
We’d say that’s some true puppy love and we wish Aslan and Rose all the best.
