Most of us know it’s a bad idea to leave a dog in a hot car as it can be dangerous – but doing just that backfired on one woman in West Virginia, in a very unexpected way! She left the engine running to ensure her dogs could stay cool, but her little terrier was smart enough to drive the car, crashing it into her local Walmart.
One witness told local news she thought it was a friend messing with her as she saw the car approaching, heading straight towards the store. Unbelievably, the driver was a dog – and to finish the joke, the pup riding shotgun rolled down the window as the car came to a halt!
A Walmart employee said the dogs were fine and there was minimal damage done to both the building and the car – so, luckily, no dogs or humans were hurt during the incident.
The owner of the two dogs was able to drive them (and the car) back home afterwards.
