How do I choose a dog bed?

There are several factors to take into consideration when looking at dog beds for your canine friend. The dog's size, age, sleeping position, tendencies to chew and whether or not they're usually muddy when they come into the house are aspects of their life to think about when looking at dog beds. You also need to think about your design preference for the style of bed you're looking for.

Like picking a human mattress, you’ll want to consider what makes your pup most comfortable at nap-time as well as at night. If you are buying a dog bed because you don't like them on your bed anymore, they do not deserve a downgrade!

Dr. Lisa Lippman, lead New York Veterinarian at Fuzzy Pet Health, put things into perspective. “Dogs can sleep [for] up to 80% of the day, so choosing where they spend all that time is no small decision.”
